Our Story
We are Laurie and Thom Vallance, and we started marbling in the early 1990s. Laurie's mom (Mara) inspired us with a book on water marbling, and since then we have created many amazing designs and products. Around 1990, we started our business, Asutra, along with our friend Eric. Since then, we have evolved into BeMarblous!

Each tapestry is created by hand using traditional marbling techniques. We craft our designs on a 48-inch square bath of marbling gel using non-toxic acrylic paints, carefully shaping intricate patterns with combs and styluses before transferring them to cotton fabric. No two pieces are ever alike, making every tapestry a truly original work of art.
